Yesterday was 30 anniversary of the death of the most iconic pop art artist – Andy Warhol.
Known for his eclectic paintings of Campbell’s soup cans and celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe, Warhol’s influence on modern art extended to other media, including music.
So how he begun ? He was born in Pittsburg, raised as a son of Slovak immigrants. His cariere got the impact after moving to new york. He started working as an illustrator. But the biggest fame, gave him series of pop-art paintings of campbell’s canned tomato soups and coca cola bottles. Warhol made a big, modern arty symbol out of these everyday use products. Later he created portraits of the biggest celebrities of his time- Marin Monroe, Elisabeth Taylor or Muhammad Allie. In later 60’s he started to producing his own magazine “ The interview” – witch is still on stock. Warhol was also an author of lot’s of avant-garde short movies, where stared the most faces stars. Non aly he was business artist, Andy was also crazy party animal, fascinated in New York high upper class. Spending time in club Studio54 with celebs like Debbie Harry, Michael Jackson or Liza Minnelli.
